EDL Mode Or Test Points for Redmi Note 12/Pro Use to Unbrick

This article shows you the way to bring Redmi Note 12/Pro into Test Point mode which is formerly known as Emergency Download (EDL) mode. Despite it being an advanced method, some users still prefer to use this technique to bypass the need for an officially unlocked bootloader. There might be a situation when your device got bricked or in boot loop state, but the bootloader has not been unlocked yet. Hence, this situation will force you to deliberately use the Test Point method. It would be impossible to unlock the boot loader since the device is bricked or is boot looped.


Requirements

  • A Redmi Note 12/Pro device.
  • Anti-static angle tweezer.
  • Plastic Crowbar.
  • Plastic Prying Tools.
  • Plastic Antistatic Crowbar.
  • 1.5 screwdriver.
  • A really brave, brave heart.
  • A USB data cable.
  • A Windows-based PC/laptop. Use a 64-bit system if you can.
  • Download the latest Mi Flash tool.
  • Download Qualcomm USB QDLoade driver (for a just-in-case scenario).
  • Download MIUI Fastboot ROM (.tgz) file (Optional. Only if you want to flash MIUI).

Boot EDL Test or Download Mode

Edl or down helps you to flash stock ROM's in Xiaomi or other Qualcomm based Processor devices if want to flash stock firmware ROM files in redmi note 12/Pro then you have to put your redmi note 12/Pro into edl mode. I will show you to do it right here in this blog post.
